Training tools we generally recommend
Below are products we generally recommend to clients. Keep in mind that we may recommend different training tools to different people as every dog is different and training needs and preferences differ from person to person. This is just a general list.
Training LeashWe recommend a slip style lead with stoppers on both sides of the sliding ring for dog neck safety and client comfort. Not all dogs and clients are ready for this kind of training lead and it is very specific in its use and can easily be used inappropriately. We strongly recommend setting up a private lesson with us to learn how to use this type of training lead.

Training ClickerTraining clickers are not a required training tool but can help speed up the training process. We do however incorporate positive and corrective verbal cues into our training and if a clicker is not used, we can show you how to utilize a verbal cue in the same way.
|
Training TreatsWe recommend only high- quality training treats like these. Training treats should be nutritionally dense without fillers. We like freeze dried small sized treats. If you are doing a long training session your dog could fill up on treats and be too full to eat their regular meal. This can lead to nutritional deficiencies an is more of an issue when you are doing longer training sessions or have a smaller dog.

Training BedRaised pet beds are nearly indispensable for a variety of training objectives. A raised pet bed can help train a solid stay (including a long-stay - 15 minutes or more) as well as help overcome some behavior issues your dog may be having. It creates a safe space for your dog to hang out while learning patience and self control.
